Equilibrist is constructed from oscillating lines and the human figure in space. The lines are being calibrated and re-calibrated through the agency of the dancer. We use the visual matrix of the screen like a tuning field for these kaleidoscopic journeys. This is literally choreographing the screen. The film responds to Paul Klee’s lithograph “Der Seiltänzer”.
